In October of this year, current Relax Gaming CEO, Simon Hammon, will be leaving the company for new opportunities. In the meanwhile, Relax Gaming has been looking for a new CEO to lead the company. Now, the search is over as Relax Gaming Appoints Martin Stålros as their New CEO.
His replacement of Simon Hammon, who held the position of CEO since 2022 comes with a lot of enthusiasm. Patrik Osteraker, the Chairman of the Board at Relax Gaming is happy with the news. He said that he is “delighted to see Martin Stålros stepping up to the CEO role at Relax Gaming.”
According to gambling news, Simon Hammon will remain with the company until 2024 to make the handover process go smoothly.

Before Stålros became the new Relax Gaming CEO, he had been serving as the Chief Products Officer of the company. In addition, Martin Stålros comes into the CEO positions after working in the iGaming industry for 15 years. Before joining Relax Gaming in 2015, he held positions with Kindred’s Unibet and Ladbrokes. During his time with Ladbrokes, he was a customer development manager for poker and also a marketing executive
However, he has spent the last 10 years with Relax Gaming to help turn it into what it is today. He is excited to become the CEO after seeing “the company from 30 to 350 people” during his time as COO. His appointment as the Relax Gaming CEO comes with the full support of the board.
Hammond said that “Martin is the natural choice to take the reins after he leaves. This is because he has an “extensive understand of the company’s DNA, offering and teams.” In addition, he said that Stålros’ passionate and pragmatic will enable him to successfully steer Relax.”
Overall, the company and board are very confident after appointing Martin Stålros as the new Relax Gaming CEO. This is because he has the ideal profil to support and guide the company in an ambitious growth trajectory.
